Most of the trails are on dikes surrounding the impoundment, and some of the of the trails are on the area's gravel roadways. Be sure to avoid hunting seasons, particularly waterfowl seasons. The dikes would be an entire loop, but the spillways on the southern end are blocked off, so hiking or all-terrain biking must be out-and-back.
